MSI poised for growth in 2014

[Orange, Calif.] MS International (MSI), a supplier of countertops, flooring, wall tile and hardscaping products in North America, said it is very optimistic about the coming year.

According to the company, knowing that ceramic, porcelain, stone- and wall tile are fast growing categories, it is laser focused on the opportunities available in the marketplace.

MSI will introduce seven new porcelain lines, new stone collections and more than 50 new mosaics to round out the overall assortment. The new porcelain lines includes everything from high style contemporary looks to reclaimed wood looks.

MSI also invested heavily on warehousing space, branch expansion, product development and sales representation, all to support flooring dealers. The company recently announced a 60,000 square foot expansion of its Atlanta distribution center. With the expansion, it now encompasses more than 235,000 square feet and has increased its inventory to approximately 22,000 slabs of natural stone and quartz with over 350 colors of granite, marble, quartz, onyx and limestone.

The expansion also includes upgraded showroom style lighting throughout the warehouse, enhanced full bundle slab viewing and a recently expanded 20,000 square foot customer viewing area.

“With the continued resurgence in the housing industry combined with MSI’s increase in the depth and breadth of our product offering, the expansion of our facility was critical for us to continue to support our customers in the Southeast,” said Raj Shah, MSI’s co-president.
The total number of branches nationwide is now 16. This, paired with a 30 percent increase in inventory, gives the company a wide variety of sales offices and warehouses to pull product from in order to quickly meet customer requests.
