Consumer Sentiment Rises in August

Ann Arbor, MI, Aug. 29, 2014 — Consumer sentiment rose in August, according to the University of Michigan/Thomson Reuters consumer-sentiment index.

The index reached a final August reading of 82.5, compared with a final July level of 81.8.

Economists had expected a final reading of 80.1 for August.
