Consumer Sentiment Rises to Second Highest Level in Over Eight Years

Ann Arbor, MI, April 17, 2015—Consumer confidence rose in April to the second highest level since 2007, according to the University of Michigan, indicating that consumers are more optimistic about the economy.

The index of sentiment rose to 95.9, up more than 3% from March’s 93.
