Housing Starts Rise, Though Less Than Expected

Washington, DC, April 16, 2015—Housing starts rose 2% in March to a 926,00 annualized rate, the Commerce Department reports, though analysts had anticipated a greater increase since weather across much of the country was temperate.

This slight increase came on the heels of February’s 908,000 rate, which was the weakest showing in more than a year.
