In the News- Dickson Dal-Tile plant begins operations, shipping
Almost two years to the date that the $180 million, 1.8-million-square-foot Dal-Tile facility was announced for Dickson County, the plant’s first tile kiln began operation and the company’s first production run was completed in March.
A Dal-Tile spokesperson said the “large format” 12-by-24-foot glazed porcelain tile has been shipped to customers.
“We’re thrilled that what has been planned for so long — enabling our customers to create beautiful spaces with our stylish and innovative tile products produced in Tennessee — is now a reality,” said Jarrett Steele with Dal-Tile corporate communications. “We’ve already hired more than 100 new team members from the area for production, maintenance and other support positions, and we’re going to continue to grow our team.”
